The SLX+ Buoy, or ECO buoy, is the most Sustainable Fishing Device (DSF) on the market. The SLX+ fishing buoy uses solar energy, does not require batteries, and is therefore completely lead-free. In the design of this echo sounder buoy, we also reduced the amount of plastic used, and where possible, used recycled plastics to further reduce its environmental footprint.
The SLX+ buoy is a high-resolution smart buoy perfect for use in tuna fishing, providing advanced satellite information for efficient and sustainable management of the activity.

SUNRISE REPORT
A must for decision making, it allows easy viewing of biomass movement under the echosounder buoy during key tuna fishing hours. During the two hours around sunrise, the SLX+ buoy takes soundings every minute and creates a graph to report what is happening below it.

MOVEMENT
New! The new motion sensor of the SLX+ buoy (ECO buoy) now sends information to easily identify situations such as the eventual sinking or recovery of a buoy. Tilt and shock warnings, as well as status messages, help to know the status of the intelligent buoy (optional feature).

ADJUSTABLE MODE
With different setting modes, it optimally matches fish behaviour and the conditions of the ocean where it is to be deployed. The Sunrise Mode consists of three immediate measurements: one hour before sunrise, at sunrise and one hour after sunrise. Alarm Mode sends up to three alarms during daylight hours, when the SLX+ buoy identifies biomass increases.

SIMRAD ES16 Echosounder
The most advanced technology in its field. By using the ‘CHIRP’ pulse, the SLX+ buoy distinguishes plankton and other interferences much more accurately, giving much more precise estimates. In addition, its more efficient energy management means that the smart buoy can sound more frequently and send a greater amount of information.
