We calculate speed, and direction of ocean currents based on subsequent positions of our drifter buoys, using state-of-the-art data science techniques. Furthermore, using advanced mathematical techniques we derive basic wave conditions (i.e. significant wave height and wave period) from the motion sensors in our buoys.

This data is updated every 24 hours and transformed into gridded ocean data, available via API services. In addition, this data is combined with modelled data to create a full global ocean coverage map of oceanographic insights, available in both regional and global format.
